Workshop description:

Gather as a group six times a year to explore your voice in a supportive, safe, and nurturing environment.
Explore the connection between the body and the voice, drawing inspiration from the experimental approach of the Roy Hart Theatre: the embodied voice.
Vocal musicality, breath, rhythm, improvisation, and spoken voice, as well as movement, energy work through yoga, and writing.

Through imagination and play, develop your presence, confidence, and awareness of your body and voice in space.
The workshop will center on exercises and explorations designed to foster authentic vocal expression.

No prior experience is required. This is a space to let go and discover your voice. This is not a choir workshop.

“I DIDN’T KNOW I COULD HAVE THIS VOICE” These words from a student touched me deeply. This is at the heart of my teaching. How to create space to let out new voices emerge – both known and unknown- and free one’s expressiveness. Nurtured by my artistic and pedagogical practice, my work builds bridges between voice, movement, creativity, and yoga. I like to play with imagination as a way to reach a form of freedom and liberation. To sing is to find ourselves in a vibrant body, present and anchored. It’s not about trying to sing but about letting yourself sing.
