What is our project?
The Roy Hart Voice Center (France) is organizing an artistic workshop in Palestine in 2026. Our partner is the Palestinian National Theater – El Hakawati, in East Jerusalem. The spoken and sung voice workshop is intended for Palestinian amateurs and professionals. It includes sessions of creative writing.
How will the money raised be used?
We appeal to your generosity to fund this training. The teacher is volunteering her time, but we need to cover additional costs (transportation, accommodation, food ; working space rental, equipment), and follow-up training must be provided, at an estimated cost of €5,000. All funds raised will be used exclusively for the training.
Who is our partner?
The Palestinian National Theater – El Hakawati is based in East Jerusalem since several decades. It performs locally and abroad. Recently, it was invited by Ariane Mnouchkine to perform its play The Women’s Parliament at the Théâtre du Soleil, Paris. El-Hakawati performs productions, hosts foreign companies and training courses.
What impact will this project have?
Now more than ever, many Palestinians feel the need to continue creating, living, and learning. At the moment, it is almost impossible for them to travel. That is why the Roy Hart Voice Center has decided to go to them. The workshop will last about a week and is scheduled for autumn 2026.
Your donation will enable Palestinians to develop their creativity and grow their artistic talents.
In summary: an initiative carried out with and for Palestinians who are eager to keep artistic creation alive, despite the oppression and deprivation of the civilian population.
