Workshop description:

Lamentation is the expression of your deepest feelings through your unique voice. There are no boundaries, only harmony with yourself, your voice and the profound sense of freedom to finally express what weighs on your soul.
Lamentation is one of the oldest forms of human expression – and yet it has hardly any place in our culture today.

In times of loss, pain or deep grief, we often lack the words. In lamentation, we find a powerful, healing tool for expressing emotions that would otherwise remain unspoken.

This workshop offers a safe space for women to (re)discover the transformative power of their own voices and to use them specifically to express deep feelings, grief, anger, and strength.
We create a safe space where feelings are not judged, but heard and held.
We explore how sound, melody, and text can create an outlet for the unspeakable, using both traditional and free, intuitive forms of singing.
This is less about vocal skills and more about authenticity in the voice and allowing what is.

Workshop Content:

My very first experience of the Roy Hart voice work was in 1988 when I had my first individual lesson with Marita Günther. The joy of life and love entered into my voice. Now it has become my life and my passion to accompany people into the singing process. Singing means much more to me than the actual producing of a sound. It is a deep process of self-reflection, self-confidence and self-knowledge. For me my work is energetic work on all levels, combined with deep and passionate emotions to reveal the inner flow of life and love.
