Workshop description:

What if you were invited to share a 5-minute performance—what would you say, sing, or sound?
This 6-day workshop invites you to create a performance-ready text through the interplay of voice, body, and writing. Rooted in daily somatic practices, deep listening, and artistic coaching, it offers a supportive space to explore your most authentic expressions.

Each day begins by tuning into the body and voice, followed by creative exercises that move between language, sound, movement, and reflection. You’ll engage in individual and group work, with dedicated time for writing, walking, and sharing.

We’ll work in English and French, but you’re welcome to write in any language that feels true to you.
Guided by questions such as:
What do I really want to say?
What voice is coming from my body?
If I were to write a manifesto, what would it be?

…you’ll be encouraged to generate new material—whether for theatre, poetry, performance, or song.
Learning new models for the giving and receiving of successful feedback, will strengthen your experience of collective responsibility and enable you to amplify and resonate your individual authentic voice in a performance moment at the end of the week.

In a world full of noise, this is a space to slow down and listen— To let your voice emerge, with breath, clarity, and intention. Come and discover how your voice can make the world resonate.

My focus in sharing the voice work with others lies in listening. Listening with the whole body, listening to one’s inner voice, listening to the poetical and musical voice of oneself and others. This focus prepares the path for connection to each person’s voice and developing artistic expression from there.

I facilitate learning environments where participants can explore notions of comfort and comfortability as a starting point and find ways to investigate how breath becomes an ally in the practice of developing awareness through movement. Notions of finding and using one’s voice through acts of remembrance and imagination becomes central to the work as both a literal and philosophical practice.

Using task, play and score-based activities and strategies for engaging creatively with the whole self, we uncover new possibilities for extending habitual approaches to our voice and body. Personal and collective creation and reflection enables the group to extend and balance stability with flexibility.
