Workshop description:

Esther guides you in finding the roots of your voice in your body and searching for dynamic sources of sound.

Breathing and physical exercises prepare the body to sing fully. You will be invited to learn the art of listening to others and yourself, allowing free and spontaneous songs to emerge.

Accompanied by guitar, Djalan has been leading singing circles for many years. His mantra singing circles are a collective spiritual practice that is resolutely meditative.
They celebrate spirituality and our divine nature, leaving everyone free to give their own meaning to each chant.

The mantras come from Buddhist, Hindu, Sikh and Kundalini traditions, with occasional borrowings from African, Christian and Hebrew sources.

I love discovering the beauty of an individual voice: beauty in the sense of singing from a place within us where we are confident, conscious and authentic; dancing with the voice deeply rooted in the body; giving voice to whatever is inside or around us and transforming it into music; singing and living everything which envelopes our soul-voice – feelings, memories, thoughts, emotional or muscular tensions, dreams…. This lively creativity necessitates a high quality of listening, both to myself and to others – to feel connected. For me it’s a marriage between art and spirituality, embracing everything. It’s my life.

Pierre Goirand (known as Djalan in the world of mantras) is one of the pioneers of the Leadership Embodiment approach in France. As a consultant, facilitator, and coach, his transdisciplinary interventions are rooted in an integral perspective. The weaving of body, spirit, and artistic expression into everyday life has always been at the heart of his research. Voice and dance hold a privileged place in both his personal and professional practices. On the spiritual path, he has studied several Buddhist traditions in depth, notably Vipassana, Theravāda, and Zen, to develop a non-religious and non-sectarian approach to spirituality, including what is now called mindfulness.
