Workshop description:

Workshop Description:
We are meeting on this special – in and of itself transformational – island of Andros, Greece for a 5 day workshop to go deep into the experiential exploration of Nature, Perception, Voice, & Body.

We will provide a framework of exercises, questions and perceptual practices to create space and time for you to connect with subtler layers of your existence, in order to allow the less obvious to emerge and become available for your creativity.

After the profound experience of our first 2 workshop in this valley, we immedeately made new dates for 2026. It’s been deeply gratifying to work with this land and to experience how our journey deepened the feeling of interconnectedness, which in turn informed the voice and our sense of belonging and being part of the Earth.

Days will consist of vocal and physical explorations (indoors) on the basis of Roy Hart Center Voice work and Alexander Technique, as well as specific practices outdoors in the beautiful natural environment of Andros, based on Susanne’s experience as a Vision quest guide. Andros, and especially the valley of Palaiopolis, with its archeological site, springs and the Aegean sea, holds a vitality that offers a promising setting to discover our relationship to the natural space and its wisdom and generosity.

We will work as a group, as well as individually, in order to be able to pay attention to each persons particular journey through the week.

The workshop will be held form September 22-26, 2026.
On September 27, Christiane and I are available for 1-1 Sessions for integration or deepening the process.

Prior musical or artistic experience is not necessary.

Lunches are included in the workshop fee, accommodation and travel are extra costs the participants have to cover. Please contact us for accommodation recommendations. There are different options depending on your wishes and needs.

Please note: The workshop will include 1-2h of walking up and down hill, sometimes on beautifully uneven territory. Make sure to bring good shoes, sunprotection and a waterbottle. Please contact us if you would like to know more details.

What happens, when we pay attention to the moments of transistion? What happens, when we slow down and become aware of the spaces in between? What do transitions, with our bodies and with our perception, do with all of who we are and our voices?

How does the sense of the bigger picture, including the land that we are part of, the places, space and other than human beings, inform our way of being in our bodies, our aliveness, the sound that we are, dance and share?

How does the listening and our relating, that is happening all of the time, inform our own embodied song, sound, dance? How does touch come into play?

How can we find a sense of belonging and home in the moment to moment flow of perception and expression?
How would I walk, sound, move and express with a greater sense of belonging?

These and many more questions along those lines can be little or big doors through which I love exploring and deepening the waters of the unknown – which I believe we need to tap into, if we want to allow the new, the not yet known (yet sometimes deeply familiar) to happen. Be it in sound or life in general. I look forward to diving in and play!

The human voice in all its colors and expressive possibilities, independently of aesthetic norms and conventions, is the center of attention in my work. If we listen closely to our voices we listen closely to ourselves. The voice as a bridge between our rich inner world and the world around us fascinates me in art and life.
