She began her artistic journey in 1976 with a movement theatre company, then turned to the art of acting, directing, butoh dance… During this period, she was particularly inspired by the personalities and collective adventures of Peter Brook, Jerzy Grotowski, Tanaka Min, with whom she worked with or with some of their actors. In 1987, she discovered the Roy Hart Theatre and participated in the creations and research projects of the Panthéâtre company from 1988 to 1992.
Subsequently, while continuing to act for other companies, she set up her own company, “Le Théâtre Chacun,” to enable everyone to express their uniqueness.
Becoming a mother sharpened her thinking about the importance of integrating artistic pursuits into everyday life and infusing them with multigenerational adventures. This led to the creation of “L’atelier,” a neighborhood association that organizes events such as an annual carnival, weekly creative workshops, garden theater, and more.
Today, at the Roy Hart Voice Centre, she invites everyone to find their own path by exploring their voice, their innermost self, and their innermost sound.
Véronique Taconet trained with Enrique Pardo, Liza Mayer, Linda Wise.
